After releasing Yilan’s Diaspora EP last month, Jelly Bean Farm label boss Ganesa curates an extraordinary playlist of rising talent.
A staple of the Californian bass music scene, Ganesa has been gaining plaudits on a global scale thanks to recent tour dates throughout the US and Europe. Having surpassed its ninth release, her label Jelly Bean Farm also continues to go from strength to strength, championing the most exciting rising talent in the UK, US and worldwide, including the likes of Hodge and Truska. The imprint’s most recent release, Yilan’s ferocious Diaspora EP, lives long in the memory of any listener, and there’s plenty more to come from the label in 2019.
On the tracks she’s selected, Ganesa says: “Here is a playlist I made of ten of producers to watch that are bubbling up in the leftfield techno & bass underground scene. When I chose & arranged the tracks I had a ‘soundtrack to one’s day’ in mind. It’s an excellent playlist for driving. And, it’s perfect for cycling or walking around a city hopping on and off of public transportation. I imagined people listening to these tunes taking each step or peddling to the beat, while occasionally looking up to glance around to people-watch or look out the window while bobbing their head. But hey, you all can listen to these lying down with your eyes closed if that’s what you feel!”
