Having released two tracks from his forthcoming Piano Pieces collection, Pablo Nouvelle takes some time out on the slopes in Switzerland to reflect on the year ahead and allowed us an intimate insight with a series of personal photographs from the trip.

Sitting somewhere between the musical world of Bonobo & Nils Frahm, Pablo Nouvelle has remixed the likes of Aurora, Gorgon City and has worked alongside Bruno Major, Jessie Reyez, Anne-Marie, Andreya Triana and many others.

Boasting 2 EP releases and 2 studio albums (BlackButter, Armada Music), Pablo will be releasing music independently through AWAL for the foreseeable future and the 28th February will see his new project Piano Pieces grace the public realm.

Speaking on the release, Nouvelle says “The simplicity of composing pieces using only the piano has something honest to it. I wanted to draw a drastic contrast to this short-living world, drowning in hate and plastic. My journey to Zaouiat Ahansal – a hidden village in a remote valley in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and only accessible by foot or mule – inspired the idea of this plain tranquility.”
