Dune Messiah – I Headed for the Dancers

Under the wing of Berlin institution aufnahme + wiedergabe and ahead of his European tour, Danish singer-songwriter Dune Messiah is back with ‘I Headed for the Dancers’. As a complement to his sophomore album Moments of Bliss, released last year, the stunning new single is fit for dim lights, taking cues from gothic folk and a mood echoing back to Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen and Bryan Ferry’s glorious days.

From Pantha Du Prince‘s comeback single, ‘Pius In Tacet’, to Sufjan Stevens’ and Lowell Brams’ ‘The Unlimited’ and Sharon Van Etten‘s ‘Beaten Down’, this week’s Tracks Of The Week takes on a broodier tone. Other tracks include Young Galaxy’s Catherine McCandless new project Riches with ‘Thief In Your Eye’, Christian Löffler‘s ‘The End’, feat. Josephine Philip, BisonBison‘s luscious ‘Expanding’ and, from Berlin, new tracks by Relatiiv, Special-K, Sixth June and Lea Porcelain.
