TRACK OF THE WEEK
Peaking Lights – Innerterrestrial
Now based in Amsterdam, Peaking Lights are back with their eighth full-length album and their first via Dutch label, Dekmantel. ‘Innerterrestrial’ is not a single per se, but is special nonetheless, coming to true appreciation best within the new record’s full glory. E S C A P E merges their electronic mastery with elements of psych, kraut-rock and hazy atmospheres suitable for a summer daze.
From GRETA’s synthpop gem ‘Hydrogen’ to Tei Shi‘s ‘Die 4 Ur Love’, this week’s Tracks Of The Week also features ‘Paper Thin by Lianne Las Havas, Bob Dylan‘s ‘False Prophet’, Arlo Parks‘ ‘Black Dog’, Squirrel Flower‘s ‘Take It or Leave It, Bibio‘s ‘Sleep On The Wing’, Eartheater‘s ‘Below The Clavicle’, ‘Volcanic’ by Gordi, ‘First Time’ by Becca Mancari and more! From Berlin, we’re also featuring ‘A Place to Forget Bad Things’ by Suburban Dinosaur and Evvol‘s ‘The Power, off their brand new album The Power.
