Joined by fellow emerging artists Natalie Shay and Beth Duck, Eva-Lina is heading up a female-fronted show at The Moth Club in the name of gender equality in music this Friday for International Women’s Day. We spoke with the artist to find out a little more about ahead of the show.
On the 8th of March, International Women’s Day, swedish pop artist and producer Eva-Lina will be joined by fellow emerging female artists Natalie Shay and Beth Duck for the release her debut single, ‘Like A Girl’, a provocative pop anthem that celebrates the power of women.
She says “I hear people say you have to be like a man in this industry and I find that offensive… I am going to be me, I am a women and that is strong.”
Brought up singing in church and fed a steady diet of rock music by her older brother, Eva Lina has a wide range of musical influences also including Jessie J and Gwen Stefani. Known for her captivating stage presence, since leaving her day job as a builder and moving to London, Eva has performed at festivals such as North Atlantic Flux and Frimley Lodge Live. We caught up with the artist ahead of her headline International Women’s Day show to find out a bit more about her via some quick-fire questions.
