A gloriously vibrant fusion of bubbling, funky basslines, smooth R&B and luxuriantly silky, soulful vocals, Harriet Brown’s music very much occupies a unique space of its own. Having just announced his first UK tour dates this October, we had the pleasure of getting to know a little more about the multi-talented artist, musician, and producer.
On his second album Mall Of Fortune, released earlier this year, Brown further evolved and expanded his own particular brand of bedroom funk. Across the tracks, his richly soulful creations are imbued and embellished with effervescent, intricately textured layers of sound offering an entrancingly smooth and sensual listen.
With his debut UK tour dates just announced, we caught up with the LA-based artist to find out a little more about him.

The worst job I’ve ever had…
Assistant to a Creative Consultant for Ad Photographers…my boss may have not done it intentionally, but at some point I realized she was just scamming people. I realized we would often do work for people without them asking for it, and then she would bill them for the work. And it was up to me to make sure I got the checks / payment, and if they didn’t send it, then I didn’t get paid. Plus, even though she was getting 70% of the payments, I was the one being filed as having received it for tax purposes. I somehow managed to keep this job for 8 months…
