Los Bitchos exude exactly as much vivacity, wit and attitude as the name suggests. With a sound they describe as “tequila cumbia instrumental”, the five-piece offers exuberant swathes of bold, garage-rock tinged psychedelia. Ahead of their upcoming show at The Lexington in September, we caught up with Los Bitchos to get to know a little more about them.
Their latest single ‘Pista (Great Start)’ is an effervescent array of infinitely danceable cumbia rhythms, and hazy, resplendent guitar riffs with enthusiastic cheers woven in that make it all feel like it’s on the edge of a beautifully wild frenzy. Which pretty aptly encompasses the band’s essence as they are very much here to have a good time, and make sure you do too.
With their new single ‘Pista’ released earlier this week, and the accompanying video out next week, we caught up with Los Bitchos to find out about their love of tequila and ready salted crisps (same here tbh) and more. Enjoy!
